From registration deadlines to voting by mail, there were a lot of questions surrounding how and where to vote in the 2020 election. And that confusion threatened to discourage voters across the country.
So to help, Facebook launched the Voting Information Center, a massive voting information initiative that provided millions of users with information from election authorities.
Our campaign, "More Questions, More Answers," aimed to not only tell people about it, but genuinely energize potential voters to overcome the obstacles of the moment. Shot by the Daniels (who better than the directors of Turn Down for What to get people excited?), the main spot was playfully high-octane journey through the voting process. And it was shot, edited and shipped in only 7 days, amid not only a pandemic but the wildfires in California.
All told, it’s estimated that the initiative helped 4.4 million people to register in 2020.
